Waltz broke into the public consciousness for his role in Qunitin Tarantino's Inglourious Bastards. And the beloved actor would be joining a fast forming cast, that consists of Lea Seydoux (typical Bond femme fatal) and Dave Bautista (portraying the henchmen).
Obviously, Daniel Craig shall be returning as 007, which will be his forth outing as the super spy. Also, joining him will be fellow Skfall cast memebers Ralph Finnes, Naomi Harris and Ben Whishaw.
I feel Waltz would be a terrific bond villian. His charisma is addictive, and it is his role as colonel Hans Lander that really adds to my high levels of anticipation going into this upcoming role. I must admit initially rumours linking Chiwetel Ejiofor for the role had sparked my interest, and to hear that he is no longer in contention is somewhat disappointing. But, Waltz does seem an adequate, if not brilliant, actor for the role.
Although no plot details have been released, shooting on Sam Medes' follow up to the highly successful Skfall, is due to commence shooting next month. Hopefully, with Waltz at its centrepiece facing off against the experienced Craig.
