Trailer Tuesday: The Hobbit The Battle Of The Five Armies Final Trailer.

This is it the final trailer for the concluding chapter of the Hobbit trilogy, and surprisingly this trailer seems to slow down the momentum as we approach the December 12th release date. This from my perspective is somewhat of a negative given how fast paced and thrilling the previous trailer had been. But, I do commend this trailer for being very different, and not a repeat of its predecessor.

This does not deter from the fact that this is a must watch for me, a person who is thoroughly entrenched in the Middle-Earth universe. A great positive that I found from watching this trailer is its gravitas. The advertising team is working hard to convey that this is going to be a massive event film, with the use of the solemn music and consistent snippets of epic speeches adding to the atmosphere of grandeur with expert precision, prompting us to feel the sheer weight of the situation.

Overall, The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies is one that cannot be missed. Although I do feel this trailer is a bit slower and less enthralling that previous reveals I still think it serves, as well as succeeds, it's purpose. And that is being an the emotional heavyweight punch that ensures that the audiences realise that this is an event that needs to be marked on calenders. I must admit from a sentimental stand point, it is quite sad that this will be our last ('supposed') outing in Middle-Earth, but I believe that if the film lives up to the expectations of these trailers, that fans across the world will not be disappointed, with what is literally an end of an era.
